There will be a lot more than books at the Clearbrook Library on Jan. 25 as the facility hosts its annual Abbotsford Family Literacy Day event.
For a few hours, the library will have various stations set up with a wide variety of entertainment perfect for people of all ages.
To start the celebration, Norden the Magician will fascinate the audience with a range of tricks starting at 11 a.m., which is to be followed by several other events across the street at The Reach Gallery Museum.
The Abbotsford group Literacy Matters is hosting two puppet shows and workshops at The Reach Gallery Museum, with the start times being 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
Abbotsford Children's Theatre will also be there doing a couple of story walks at 1 and 2 p.m., where narrators use their acting skills to bring a dramatic flair to the stories.
Throughout the day, families will also be able to enjoy some crafting, treats, and prizes.
Attending the Abbotsford Family Literacy Day event is free, with the celebration taking place at the Cleabrook Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25.
