The Blais family of Abbotsford gets into the Halloween holiday spirit in a big way.

Parents April and Joshua and their four kids deck out their home at 2136 Primrose St. with approximately 35 inflatables, 32 animatronic creatures, and tons of lights and strobes.

They run their display until 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends, unless it’s windy.

The family expanded their display this year to cover their entire driveway and carport, as well as their full yard and roof.

April said it takes them a few weeks to set everything up.

“We do things in stages so it’s not too overwhelming,” she said.

This year, the family is using the opportunity to collect donations for the Archway Food Bank, which they have previously only done for their Christmas display. (Yes, they go all out for the festive season too!)

Also in Abbotsford, a Halloween haunted house takes place on Halloween night from 7 to 11 p.m. at 2300 Miraun Cres. Admission is free but donations will be collected for a local charity group.

Anyone else who has a spooky display is invited to send us your details – and a photo or two – and we’ll make sure to let people know all about it. The information can be sent to newsroom@abbynews.com.
