Abbotsford Connect takes place Saturday, Oct. 17 at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Rd.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and involves service providers, local businesses, community and provincial agencies, and faith-based organizations delivering services and supports to individuals experiencing homelessness and those who are at risk of being homeless.

These services include foot care, haircuts, makeup, professional photography, clothing, outreach and advocacy support, and mental-health and wellness services.

Last year’s event attracted more than 300 participants, more than 30 service providers, and a team of individual donors and sponsor agencies.
