An Abbotsford author has released a book that gives practical help to those facing adversity and setbacks in life.

Detour: A Roadmap for When Life Gets Rerouted by Cam Taylor tells the story of how the road he was travelling on ended abruptly due to a serious motorcycle accident in April 2011.

Taylor says he was forced to travel a much different road than expected but he learned to find hope and bounce forward in spite of his challenge.

He says his book teaches people how to lean into their challenges and find a deeper purpose when facing loss and disappointment.

“You’ll be inspired to persevere, change, forgive, grieve, and cultivate meaningful connections during your own detour,” he says.

Taylor is a leadership coach, speaker and author.

He says he enjoys bringing out the best in people and works with those who are eager to learn and grow.

He has lived in Abbotsford for more than 25 years.

The book is available online at camtaylor.net or by email at cam@camtaylor.net.
