ELIZABETH’S AGM

Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center holds its annual general meeting on Friday, Feb. 22 at Trinity United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way. The meeting begins at 2:15 p.m.

GERMAN SING-ALONG

IN THE MARKET

The 861 Silverfox air cadet squadron holds a Small Business Marketplace on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, 32470 Haida Drive, next to Twisters Gym.  The event features small business products and services. Admission is free.

LEARNING PLUS

Abbotsford Learning Plus holds two classes next week. Both sessions are from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Recreation Centre, 2499 McMillan Rd.  On Tuesday, Feb. 26, the topic is “Philosophical Counselling for a Man of War.” On Thursday, Feb. 28, the topic is “A Lifelong Wish to Visit China Realized.” Cost for each session is $5, plus the rec centre drop-in fee. SKILLS CONNECT

The Skills Connect for Immigrants Program meets Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. at 31726 South Fraser Way. The program assists immigrants who are looking for work and includes job-search techniques, assistance finding work, introductions to employers and courses.  Info: 604-866-0257

LIBRARY STORYTIMES

Storytime sessions take place at two local libraries next week.  One is on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Abbotsford Community Library (33555 Bevan Ave.). The other is on Friday, Feb. 28, also at 10:30 a.m.  Stories, songs, rhymes and more are included. For preschool children and their caregivers.

LIVING ROOM

The Living Room  – a faith-based support  group for  those struggling with depression, anxiety and bipolar – meets Friday, March 1 from noon to 2 p.m. at New Life Church, 35270 DeLair Rd. Info:  604-853-5043
