Former Abbotsford News truck driver dies
A former Abbotsford News employee who retired after winning the lottery in 2010 died Feb. 7, three days after suffering a massive heart attack.
Ivan Catchpaw, 56, was driving in Bellingham at the time and went off the road. He later died in hospital.
Catchpaw was born in Beebe, Quebec. He later lived in Abbotsford for several years and moved to Langley two years ago.
He was a chef for about 30 years before becoming a truck driver for the Abbotsford News, a job he held for a decade.
Catchpaw retired from that position in March 2010 after winning $9.5 million in the Lotto Max.
A memorial service takes place Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Henderson's Funeral Home in Langley, starting at 10 a.m.
Catchpaw is survived by his fiancee Kelly Collinge, three children, three grandchildren, and many family members and friends.
