Local business helps Squamish girl get her wish
The Make a Wish Foundation has made one little girl very happy, with a little help from Abbotsford's Fraserway RV.
In March of 2012, five-year-old Jasmine Blake of Squamish was rushed to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver to have a malignant brain tumour removed. She has been recovering ever since.
When she was told the foundation would grant her a wish, she asked for a tent trailer so she could go camping.
Last week her wish came true.
The Make A Wish Foundation put out a notice looking for a tent trailer that would fit into a modest budget.
The Abbotsford-based RV company found an affordable model and the two groups got together to make it happen.
On Jan. 12 the staff at Fraserway RV and the Make A Wish Foundation surprised the youngster and presented the trailer to her and her family.
While she hasn't gone camping yet, the family is waiting for warmer weather, Jasmine is already camping in the garage.
