Scouts hold bottle drive and tree pick-up

The First Abbotsford Scouts are holding a bottle drive and Christmas tree pick-up on Saturday, Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They will be in west and central Abbotsford during those times, going door to door.

Christmas tree pick-up can be pre-booked for that day, although it is not required, by calling 604-309-4850 and leaving your name, phone number and address.

All trees must be stripped of ornaments, tinsel and garland.

The scouts take the trees for mulching, and then use the mulch throughout the year on such projects as trail rebuilding.
