The Abbotsford Women with Cancer Support Group meets Thursday, Dec. 20 for its annual Christmas dinner, starting at 6 p.m. at the ABC restaurant on Marshall Road.  The group holds its monthly meeting on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Starting in January, the location will be Garden Park Tower, 2825 Clearbrook Rd., in room 217. Hominum Fraser Valley holds its next meeting on Friday, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. The group is an informal discussion and support group to help gay, bisexual and questioning men with the challenges of being married, separated or single. The Abbotsford Social Activity Association holds a New Year’s Eve buffet dinner and dance at its hall at 33889 Essendene Ave.  Live music is by Good Vibrations. The event runs from 8 p.m to 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $25 and are available by calling Jodie at 604-850-2465.


A New Year’s Eve celebration takes place at Jubilee Hall (7989 Bradner Rd.) with live music by the Ken McCoy Band. Doors open at 7 p.m., with a full buffet dinner served at 8 p.m. and champagne at midnight.
