Local woman in running for 'mompreneur' award
A local mom and business owner is in the running for the 2013 Mompreneur Award of Excellence, sponsored by Children’s Education Funds Inc. Karen Hoekstra, a mom of three boys under five, lives in Mission and is the owner of KP Fitness Studio in Abbotsford.
The Mompreneur award celebrates “innovative ideas and creative solutions from talented moms in business.” The grand prize is cash and services valued at more than $30,000.
