Red Cross seeks volunteers

The Canadian Red Cross in Abbotsford desperately needs customer service volunteers for its Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP).

The program loans medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, raised toilet seats, commodes, crutches and canes temporarily to people who can’t afford them.

The depot is open 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day except Sunday. The Abbotsford HELP branch keeps about 30 volunteers busy.

Those interested in volunteering are asked to apply at #5 – 2316 McCallum Rd. or call 604-556-3526 for more information.
