Grants awarded to two Abbotsford groups
Envision Financial has provided more than $8,500 in grants to two Abbotsford organizations.
The Abbotsford and Kitimat chapters of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) received $5,000 in support of the school assembly program, and Abbotsford Restorative Justice and Advocacy Association (ARJAA) received $3,560.
The MADD program involves real-life victims sharing their stories and information about how students can keep themselves safe in risky situations.
ARJAA works in partnership with the Abbotsford Police Department to facilitate the reconciliation process between young offenders and their victims.
More than $207,000 has been donated in 2012 from the Envision Financial Community Endowment, to fund projects in communities Envision serves.
