The CIBC Run for the Cure event in Abbotsford brought out all manner of pink costumes to promote the run, or to commemorate someone with cancer. There were 1,948 participants in Abbotsford on Sunday at Rotary Stadium, and the event raised $263,000 locally. All of the B.C. runs raised a combined $3.15 million, and across Canada they garnered $30 million for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, from 170,000 runners.
