Summer 'food fairs' boost food bank
Two “summer food fairs” held this week at local grocery stores will benefit the Abbotsford Community Services’ Food Bank.
The first takes place Tuesday, June 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Real Canadian Superstore, 2855 Gladwin Rd. The second is on Wednesday, June 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Parisotto’s Your Independent Grocer, 32900 South Fraser Way.
Both events include food and drink samples, as well as giveaways and tips on summer entertaining. Opportunities to support the local food bank will be provided, and 10 per cent of all donations collected will go to the President’s Choice Children’s Charity.
