Barrowtown elementary receives Love of Reading grant

Barrowtown elementary school in Abbotsford is the recipient of a 2012 Indigo Love of Reading Foundation grant worth $30,000, which will be used to stock its library with new books.

The funds will go to the school over three years. Barrowtown is among 20 elementary schools which will share the Love of Reading Foundation’s annual $1.5 million allocation.

The announcement came with a significant milestone – the foundation has now funded one million books for high-need school libraries in Canada.
