Family Literacy Day in Abbotsford
The sixth annual Family Literacy Day Celebration, co-hosted by the Clearbrook Library and The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford, takes place on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This fun event offers information from local services that support literacy and learning, entertainment, refreshments, activities and prizes.
Between the Clearbrook Library and The Reach there will be close to 30 community booths to help the public learn how to get their literacy skills growing.
With a stamp from each booth on their Read Together, Grow Together Passport they can enter to win one of two grand prizes. Stories on Wheels, an original street theatre storytelling act, will entertain at Clearbrook Library and The Reach.
Kick off the day with a free pancake breakfast at Fire Hall 1 (beside the Clearbrook Library), from 9 to 11 a.m.
