Ready to serve an Indian New Year’s Day lunch with samosas, curry dishes, naan bread and rice pudding are Gurdip Dhaliwal (left) and Nirmaljeet Sekhon. It is the fourth year that Dhaliwal has organized the dinner, held at the Salvation Army headquarters on Gladys Avenue. She fed between 85 and 100 people, and says she plans to continue the local tradition next year.
