Charity hockey game supports Canuck Place
A charity hockey game in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Abbotsford takes place Sunday, Dec. 11.
The event pits Imperial Paving Limited against Lafarge Canada Inc., starting at 2 p.m. at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. The two teams have agreed to donate $2,000 each, and the winner of the hockey match will then present the $4,000 total in their company’s name.
Donations will be accepted before and after the game.
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice is currently under construction as part of the Campus of Care project adjacent to Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The facility provides specialized pediatric palliative care for children with a life-threatening illness, in addition to support for families.
