SLICE OF LIFE: Dances at Abbotsford Seniors Association hall

The Abbotsford Seniors’ Association (ASA) hosts dances every Friday night at the ASA hall (33889 Essendene Ave.) Cost is

$6 for members and $6.50 for non-members. Regular dances this month are on Dec. 2 with the band Good Vibrations and Dec. 16 with Sweetwater. Good Vibrations also plays at the Christmas dinner and dance on Dec. 9   (tickets are $25, available until Dec. 5) and the New Year’s Eve buffet and dance on Dec. 31 (tickets are $25, available until Dec. 26).

There is no dance on Dec. 23. For tickets and info, call Jodie at 604-850-2465.

CRAFT FAIR

Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (32900 Marshall Rd.) holds its annual craft fair on Friday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the learning centre.

AGM FOR CENTRE

Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center holds its annual general meeting on Friday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at Trinity United  Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way. Info: 604-852-9173

SANTA PAWS

Clayburn Pet Hospital (35060 Clayburn Rd.) hosts pet photos with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise funds for the Needy Pet Fund. Suggested donation is $20 per photo. As well, bird seed and cat food will be collected for Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center.

FUN FAIR

St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and Grace Church hold a family Christmas fun fair on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lower parking lot at 2087 McMillan Rd. Activities include kids’ games and crafts, a silent auction, baking for sale and more.

PET PHOTOS

Homestead Nursery (31888 Marshall Way) hosts pet photos with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  for a minimum $5 donation. Proceeds go to Elizabeth’s Wildlife Center. Info: 604-852-9173.

FESTIVE TOUR

Northview Community Church hosts a tour of homes decorated for Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at northview.org. Proceeds go to Life Recovery in Abbotsford.

LUNCH TIME

The Central Fraser Valley branch of the FSNA hosts a Christmas luncheon on Monday, Dec. 5 at noon at Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Rd. Tickets are $5. Call 604-859-1315 or 604-820-9179.
