The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Abbotsford hosts female municipal election candidates at its luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Candidates for city council and the board of education will discuss their election platforms and their experiences as women in politics. The Abbotsford Parkinson’s Support Group meets Monday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Matsqui Recreation Centre (3106 Clearbrook Rd.). The topic for the meeting is “Pole Walking,” a recommended form of exercise for people with disabilities. Anyone with walking poles is asked to bring them.
