FOR RETIREES

The Central Fraser Valley branch of the Federal Superannuates National Association meets Friday, Nov. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre, 2499 McMillan Rd. Speaker Phil Daigle will discuss Canada’s response during the wars. Tickets for the Christmas luncheon at Cascade Community Church will be sold to members. Cost is $5.  Info: Gary at 604-820-9179.

FISH AND CHIPS

The ladies auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion in Abbotsford (2513 West Railway) holds a Fish and Chip Night on Friday, Nov. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. with Music by Syd.

ANIME FOR TEENS

Watch anime (Japanese animation), eat Japanese snacks, and chat with other teens at Mission Library, 33247 Second Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Anime with a TV14 rating will be shown. For ages 12 to 18. Info: 604-826-6610.

COMPUTER CLASS

Register on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to noon for computer classes at the Abbotsford Seniors’ Association drop-in centre, 2631 Cyril St. Classes start the following day at noon for beginners and 2 p.m. for intermediates and run every Wednesday and Friday for three weeks.
