Abbotsford-Sumas Rotary installs new board of directors
A new board of directors for the Rotary Club of Abbotsford–Sumas was installed last week.
Rotary District 5050 Governor Wayne Wiebe was on hand to perform the swearing-in ceremony. The new board includes chair Wendy Neufeld and the new executive includes president-elect and membership chair Ron Lewis, treasurer Joyce Beal and secretary Sandy Watson.
Board directors include Cheryl Klassen, Andrea Senft, Cindy Boury, and Dorothy van der Ree.
During the ceremony, Rotary recognized the leadership of past-president Ron Howardson and his board.
Governor Wiebe presented a Paul Harris Award to Keith Senft of the city of Abbotsford Parks, Recreation and Culture Department for outstanding work with the club to build the eight Rotary Parks around the City.
Cheryl Klassen also received a Paul Harris award for her untiring work on behalf of the club.
Tom McMillan was the third recipient for his dedication and long-term service.
