Abbotsford Scouts to receive top award
Six Abbotsford youths will be presented with awards Saturday, June 4 during the annual recognition ceremony hosted by Scouts Canada.
Chad Douglas, Marty Coan, David Read, Zachary Krall, Samantha Clare and Riddell Thomson will be among 86 young people receiving the Chief Scout Award in Surrey.
The award is the highest honour that can be achieved at the Scout level, and recognizes accomplishments in leadership, voluntary service and outdoor skills. As well, recipients must hold standard first aid certification and have completed numerous badge requirements.
