About 100 people participated in the Go Fusion walk and run on Saturday at Mill Lake.

The Go Fusion Fitness walk/run drew about 130 people out to Mill Lake on Saturday morning.

The event raised approximately $5,400, which will be donated to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation to purchase comfort items for the pediatric ward at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

The run was held in conjunction with Go Fusion Fitness' 2013 Total Makeover Challenge, which began eight weeks ago.

A total of 66 participants have been competing to see who can lose the highest percentage of weight and inches. The top 10 semi-finalists were named at Saturday's run: Jocelyn Fornwald, Kim Wass, Kimberley Thompson, Katherine Wall, Laura Carver, Lynn Thompson, Robyne Adlam, Shannon Janzen, Tina Richardson and Theresa Walsh.

Those women will now compete on April 17 in a fashion show, from which the field will be narrowed to five participants. The winner will be announced May 15, and will receive a prize package including a trip for two to Las Vegas and other items.

Also in conjunction with the Total Makeover Challenge, a seminar designed to help people to re-discover their natural gifts and talents and craft a "mission statement" for their life takes place Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16.

Go Fusion Fitness is located at 2645 Montrose Ave. in Abbotsford.
