Four more local businesses up for Small Business BC Awards

Four more local businesses have been nominated for the 13th annual Small Business BC (SBBC) Awards.

Jelly Marketing, Magnuson Ford, the Sparkle Project BC, and Fire and Ice Hair Company have been added to the list of Abbotsford companies in the running for the awards, which recognize small businesses that go the extra mile for their neighbours.

Two other companies – Connect Now Business Network and Reddy Made Cakes – were previously announced as nominees.

The nominees will be whittled down to the top 10 on Dec. 11. The semi-finalists will then submit a detailed application that judges will use to determine the top five finalists from each awards category, announced on Jan. 29.

The top five finalists will then be invited to present a 10-minute Dragons’ Den-style pitch to the judges to prove themselves as one of B.C.’s best.

The winners of each category will be announced at the SBBC awards ceremony on Feb. 25, at the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel.

Recipients receive $1,500 and a one-year pass to SBBC education resources and experts.
